i love the freedom this medium gives me to create absolutely anything. in making an almost painted looking work from a digitally based starting point. it's almost the same as film useing green screen to create fantastical worlds. i even made up a term 'photo-realistic impressionism' hehe. click here to enter gallery
photography
my photography takes on two guises. one being project work where i work from a subject or theme. two just single shots which can be anything from thought out set ups to quick snapshots. using my humble nikon D40 and my good 'eye' for framing shots the end results can be magic. series gallery. single shot gallery
the way i work with print is quite similar to my photography work in that some is project work and some singular. using this traditional method is a nice change from the more modern techniques i use. it keeps me interested and more hands-on in the art making process. print gallery
the others
i dont paint all that regularly but when i do its like visiting an old friend. its always therapeutic and clears the mind of anything but the process of getting a clean stroke or right colours. i wouldn't say i have a painting style but do have an eye for detail in line and colour.
the miscellaneous part represents some of my other creations that usually involved some, all or none of the above categories in their making. usually my imagination has run away with itself and these are the final results. others gallery
